The new 4150 TapeStation system for sample Quality Control (QC) is now available on the Next Generation Sequencing Core Facility. Come to discover the features and technical possibilities with this new instrument, the first being installed in France.
The NGS Core Facility has obtained a funding from the Biology-Medicine-Health division of the Université de Lorraine to acquire the new Agilent 4150 TapeStation system.
This compact instrument allows fast (less than 2 minutes per sample), simple and reliable nucleic acid analysis for up to 16 samples per cycle. This system is an ideal solution for quality control (QC) of RNA and DNA samples in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), microarray and qPCR processes.
Its main characteristics are summarized below :
- ScreenTape technology ensures easy use of the system
- Flexibility of use from 2 samples to 16 samples per cycle
- A reduced cost per sample compared to its counterpart "Bioanalyzer 2100"
- A wide range of ScreenTape applications of RNA and DNA available, including genomic and cell-free DNA assays
- The results are obtained quickly, from 1 to 2 minutes per sample, or less than 20 minutes for 16 samples
- Available integrity standards for RNA (RNA Integrity Equivalent, RIN) and genomic DNA (DNA Integrity Index, DIN)
This new device will soon be made available on the platform after initial training. So, do not hesitate, come and discover this new system and contact the head of the NGS Core Facility.
