The Shared Core Facilities (SMP) of IBSLor, part of the Biology, Medicine and Health (BMS) Division at the University of Lorraine, invite you to an afternoon symposium dedicated to proteomic analysis by mass spectrometry on 18 September 2026.

Researchers, faculty members, engineers, PhD candidates and students are invited to discover the latest advances in this key technology for the study of proteins and their functions. The event will also provide an opportunity to engage with two internationally renowned experts in the field.

• Dr Christine Carapito (Institut Pluridisciplinaire Hubert Curien, Strasbourg, France)

• Prof. Gunnar Dittmar (Luxembourg Institute of Health, Luxembourg)

   

Discover the Proteomics Core Facility

This event will showcase the expertise, instrumentation and services offered by the SMP IBSLor Proteomics Core Facility. Participants will have the opportunity to meet the facility team and explore how mass spectrometry can support and enhance their research projects.

Open to everyone, this symposium is intended for anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of proteomics and its wide range of research applications.

Opening remarks by Prof. Hélène Boulanger, President of the University of Lorraine, Xavier Manival, Director of the Biology, Medicine and Health (BMS) Division, and Mr Choserot, Vice-President of the Greater Nancy Metropolitan Authority.

1:50 pm – 2:15 pm
Presentation of the SMP IBSLor Proteomics Core Facility.

2:15 pm – 3:15 pm
Lecture by Dr Christine Carapito, followed by a question-and-answer session.

3:15 pm – 4:15 pm
Lecture by Prof. Gunnar Dittmar, followed by a question-and-answer session.

From 4:15 pm onwards
Guided tour of the Proteomics Core Facility at the Biopôle (Brabois Health Campus), followed by a networking reception.
