Bioanalyzer 2100

Specifications

The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer uses microfluidics-based chips for sizing, quantification and quality control of nucleic acids (DNA and RNA).

This Lab-on-a-Chip technology uses a network of channels and wells that are etched onto a glass or polymer chip. The main advantages of these chips are ease-of-use, speed of analysis, low sample and reagent consumption and high reproducibility due to standardization and automation. Results are delivered within 30-60 minutes in high quality digital data and can be shown in gel-like image, electrophoregram and tabular formats.

Different kinds of chips are available in our core facility :

  • High Sensitivity DNA kit : for quality control of sequencing libraries (5 to 500 pg/µl)
  • RNA 6000 Pico : for quality control of RNA (50 to 5000 pg/µl)
  • Small RNA : for quality control of small RNA (from 4 to 200 nts) (1000 to 5000 pg/µl)
